Measurements for a wide range of facilities 

Normec performs emission measurements at a wide range of industrial facilities. Depending on the type of facility and applicable regulations, we determine which measurements are required.

The right expertise for every emission measurement

Each pollutant requires its own measurement method and assessment. That is why our specialists have the knowledge and certifications needed to perform various emission measurements.

NOx measurements 

For combustion plants with a thermal capacity of 400 kW or more, an NOx measurement is mandatory in many cases. With this measurement, we determine whether nitrogen oxide emissions remain within the legal limits.

Particulate matter measurements 

Particulate matter consists of microscopic particles that can be harmful to health. For various types of installations, the Living Environment Activities Decree mandates particulate matter measurements.

SO₂ measurements 

Sulfur dioxide is produced during the combustion of sulfur-containing fuels. An SO₂ measurement allows us to verify whether emissions comply with applicable emission standards.

CxHy measurements 

Emission requirements for hydrocarbons (CxHy) apply to, among other things, gas engines rated at 2,500 kWth or higher. Our specialists perform these measurements accurately in accordance with applicable regulations.

CO measurements 

Specific requirements for measuring carbon monoxide apply to medium-sized combustion plants. Depending on the plant’s capacity and commissioning date, a CO measurement may be required by law.
