Certification in accordance with the Elevator Directive 2014/33/EU
Normec is a Notified Body for the certification of elevators in accordance with the Elevator Directive 2014/33/EU. Installers who do not use a recognized quality system must have the elevator installation assessed before a CE Declaration of Conformity can be issued. In doing so, we verify that the installation complies with the essential health and safety requirements set forth in the directive.
For certification, we assess, among other things:
- The elevator installation
- The technical file
- The certification application
- Compliance with the Elevator Directive 2014/33/EU
Following a positive assessment, the system can be affixed with the required CE marking.
