Missing compliance report leads to rejection of the electrical installation

When a periodic inspection of the electrical installation is carried out by a certified inspection agency such as BTV, a compliance report must always be available.

This is stipulated by the FPS Economy and the FPS WASO, as published in fact sheet 001.

If the absence of inspection reports is detected during a periodic inspection visit, that inspection visit does not meet the requirements and will result in a rejection. In this case, the file must be completed. The following points must be taken into account:

If it is not certain that a conformity inspection covering the entire electrical installation was performed, a new conformity inspection must be conducted in accordance with Chapter 6.4. of the new AREI by a certified organization (with or without the application of Part 8, which must be noted in the inspection report).
If the owner, manager, or operator has a report from an inspection visit covering the conformity inspection (with reference and date) and which demonstrates compliance (or it can be demonstrated that the non-conformities have been rectified), this report may replace the conformity inspection report.
The scope of the inspection must be clear, and no changes or expansions may have taken place. A separate conformity inspection has been conducted for each change or expansion.
