Normec BTV is een door BELAC geaccrediteerd controleorganisme met certificaatnummer 115-INSP.
Normec BTV is geaccrediteerd volgens de norm ISO 17020:2012 door BELAC. Deze internationale norm is van toepassing voor keuringsorganismen en bevat in hoofdstuk 8 de eisen voor een managementsysteem. De norm ISO 17020 verschilt van de ISO 9001 doordat de focus ligt op onafhankelijkheid, onpartijdigheid en vertrouwelijkheid, maar de verschillende elementen die noodzakelijk zijn in een managementsysteem zijn erin aanwezig en de kwaliteit van de diensten wordt erin bewaakt en dit specifiek voor een keuringsorganisme.

VCA staat voor VGM Checklist Aannemers en is ontwikkeld om dienstverlenende bedrijven op een objectieve en gestructureerde manier te toetsen en te certificeren op hun veiligheidsmanagementsystem.
Het VCA-certificaat is een verklaring die een gerechtvaardigd vertrouwen biedt ‘dat de veiligheid in goede handen is’. Het in de wacht slepen van dit certificaat betekent dat opdrachtgevers er mogen op vertrouwen dat Normec BTV risicovol werk op een veilige manier uitvoert.

This depends on your contract with Normec BTV. Normec BTV offers the option to schedule inspections automatically. The schedule will then be communicated to the contact person at your company for confirmation that these dates are indeed suitable.
If this service is not included in your contract, you will need to request the inspection yourself by contacting the office.

To ensure that the inspection proceeds safely and smoothly, the following points must be observed:
- The equipment must be ready for use. It must be fully set up and/or assembled. The necessary attachments must be present and must be installed alternately.
- The equipment must be sufficiently clean. It must be cleared of mud, sand, dust, etc., to allow for the most thorough visual inspection possible.
- An operator with sufficient knowledge of the equipment must be present. The operator must also have a sufficient command of the local language (Dutch/French) to ensure effective communication with the visiting officer.
- The equipment must be set up safely. Safe access to the equipment, a safe environment around the equipment, and sufficient maneuvering space must be ensured.
- The equipment must be free of loads: e.g., no suspended load on an overhead crane, no vehicle on a car lift, etc.
- The necessary test weights must be available for the annual inspection of the load limiter and/or load moment limiter. The test weight must equal the maximum rated load plus 10% (or another overload percentage specified by the manufacturer). The test weights must be provided by the customer or the installer/manufacturer. The test weights must be safe for use. It must be possible to perform all operations on the hoisting equipment.
- In the case of lifting accessories (lifting chains, lifting slings, links, etc.), these must be gathered in a single location.
- The necessary documents must be available:
- User manual
- Load charts (if applicable)
- In the case of an initial inspection by Normec BTV: the previous inspection report

- Stability test: maximum rated load + 25%
- Load (moment) limiter adjustment: maximum rated load + 10% (or other overload percentage specified by the manufacturer).
The test weights must be provided by the customer or the installer/manufacturer. The test weights must be safe for use. It must be possible to perform all operations on the hoisting equipment.
